It will be interesting to watch them evolve into full rotters again. were a nice contrast to the rotting walkers we have been seeing for the last few years of The Walking Dead. They were used sporadically until the final episode the skinbags of L.A.

Who is this guy Victor Strand (Colman Domingo) guy and how get locked up? Seriously, this is a guy you want to know more about, plus a guy you know will be a key character next season.
Ftwd season 1 how to#
Then you find out that not only was he the torturer who knew how to get answers in his past life, but he is also a pied piper of walkers. At first, you just think he is untrusting, which he has every right to be. One of the characters that received some of the best development was Daniel Salazar (Rubén Blades). Admit it though, you would be thrilled to see him show up with a bo staff and mad Shaolin monk skills in a season or two. Maybe, just maybe, Tobias managed to stay alive through the uprising. The boy did have a pretty decent plan even though it seemed they left all the supplies in the school.

Castellanos) who knows what is going on while other people just think he is paranoid. There is always that one person like Tobias (Lincoln A. Monopoly anyone? If I was to compare any of the Fear characters to The Walking Dead characters, then Madison is clearly a Shane. Madison does everything she can to help out Nick but doesn’t think twice about going to help the neighbors when she sees a walker head over to their house. During the season it was made clear that Madison has somewhat of a questionable past indicating there are some skeletons hiding in the background that will surely come out. Kim Dickens did a great job portraying Madison. That, along with addition of the missing person posters, then the lone figure in the park just worked in this episode.

Tie that in with the deliberate shots of the park emptying every time Madison drove by it. They started off slowly, then by the end, they were nonstop. That steady rise in volume of the sirens and helicopters over the episode just helped bring the intensity. The use of sound in the first episode was brilliant. Things about Fear the Walking Dead that I enjoyed: vox.com Shane did mention seeing walkers after all. We can only imagine that something similar to the finale of Fear happened in Rick’s hospital. Once he wanders out of the hospital we see the scenes where the military tried to control the situation but failed, just like is happening in Fear. In The Walking Dead, Rick wakes up 59 days after the outbreak has happened. The Night scenario is what we saw in the initial episodes of Fear. In Night, the zombies slowly started appearing, but by the end the movie, the officials thought they had it under control even though they did not. Night of the Living Dead started off rather slow. Running zombies tend to destroy the world much faster than shamblers.
Ftwd season 1 movie#
World War Z, the movie not the book, (yes, I know the book was better) started off fast. Fast, slow, or jump straight into an already zombie apocalypse. To create a zombie story, there are three basic ways you can go about it. There was fair warning that this season would be a slow burn, and it burnt just as slowly as Los Angeles did. Yes, survival on the water sounds good, but the walkers really don’t care about the water since they apparently do not breathe (The Governor’s aquariums and he threw Pete in a lake in Season 3.) Still though, life on the water as a pirate-what could possibly go wrong? No need to head on over to the CDC for answers-they can just jump on a boat now. The season one finale of AMC’s Fear the Walking Dead has come to an end with a loss that will surely affect the survivors, but it has also left them in the position where they know that everyone is infected.
